The Superintendent will manage day-to- day onsite activities for commercial construction projects; to include repairs, remodels, rebuilds, and new construction. This is a full time position. The successful candidate will be required to work nights and/or work days, as the specific project requires. Projects will be located throughout the Southern California area and some travel may be required. Travel expenses will be paid/ reimbursed by the Employer.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule, coordinate, and manage all project vendors, deliveries, and subcontractors.
- Ensure quality construction, installations, and adherence to plans and specifications.
- Professionally represent the general contractor during interaction with the owner, inspectors, adjacent property owners, and the general public.
- Manage all aspects of a safe and clean project through compliance with vendors and subcontractors.
- Prepare and submit daily project reports and photographs with email.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in Retail Construction
- Competent with the ability to schedule, coordinate, and manage all project vendors, deliveries, and subcontractors
- Be able to provide excellent customer service to retail clients
- Must be available to work nights and/or days, as the specific project requires
- Have the ability to use a laptop computer with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and a smartphone to communicate with all levels of project management, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Create and maintain daily reports with pictures for client and project manager reference
- Professionally communicate through written, oral, and electronic means
- Must be able to work independently and with a team
- Must be able to read and interpret plans to insure all aspects of the plans and specifications are achieved
- Competent with the ability to manage safety procedures
